If they only knew there are women alone in their homes that dance to music
So full of love that it has nowhere to go
So it pours out onto their cheeks, the floor and is released into the universe
They cry because they are left alone and unseen
Unseen because the masculine has walls that are so thick
Even the tears of loving women couldn’t wash away the mortar
The walls that were built to protect against warring tribes that no long war
The walls steadfast around the heart as beauty, love and connection remains outside
Waiting for the bridge to lower
The women continue to dance
The music is overcome by the deafening silence
The tears continue to fall
If they only knew
