Here I sit betwixt yearning for earthly pleasures and aiming for spiritual bliss.
Can I have my cake and eat it too? Between two worlds, not fully in either. It is lonely here in my purgatory. As I try to release all attachments that bind me to the want.
This costume binds
me to the earth
I want to be naked
and stripped of all.
Loose
Untethered
Air itself Or
do I want
to be deeply rooted
in the cycle of birth
and decay
and all the pleasure
from start to finish.
